My coconut shell

Hello blogging world!

Today is day one of my blogging experience. I have no idea what i'm getting myself into, but i'm ready to figure it out!

I have an interesting job, lets just start it at that! I am a certified nurse's assistant in a nursing home. I help out the grandma's and grandpa's, no embelishment is needed here! A few years ago I had the opportunity to take care of a man who taught me more about living out my faith than I thought I would discover. Every phrase in conversation with him had the essence of Christ. He once told me a story that has stuck in my heart till this day. He was the father of four young children under the age of 6 when his wife died. His life was filled with stories of depravity, sorrow and hardships; but what overcame all those stories were the ones that displayed christ in his life in such a way that joy was the only option. Later in his years he was asked to be interviewed by Family Christian Radio. When the interviewer sat him down he said to tell him about his life in a nut shell.  My patient told me in a few short words, "I will have to tell you in a coconut shell." I laughed at first, but when I had time to think about what he said I could'nt help to desire the same response in my life.  Is my life filled with stories about how God has brought me through the thick of life;  stories of true spiritual joy and trials that it would take a coconut shell? Hmm..

I hope so, and I hope to share them well :)
